Police have charged a Hamilton man with stunt driving after they spotted a vehicle doing 180 km/h on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

Police say an officer was doing traffic enforcement near the Upper James Street overpass just after 1 a.m. Friday when he spotted the vehicle heading eastbound.

The officer activated the emergency lights and stopped the vehicle.

Police seized a 22-year-old man's licence and towed his vehicle, which is impounded for seven days.
