Hamilton man charged with stunt driving on Red Hill Valley Parkway

A 20-year-old Hamilton man was charged with stunt driving after police say he was driving 142km/hr in a 90km/hr zone.

He was going northbound on the Red Hill Valley Parkway

A 20-year-old Hamilton man was charged with stunt driving after police say he was driving 142km/hr in a 90km/hr zone. 

Police say an officer in a Mitsubishi Outlander was travelling northbound along the parkway. He suspected the driver was speeding well above the posted 90km/hr speed limit. The officer then used a speed-measuring device and obtained a reading of 142km/hr and stopped the car. 

The man is charged with stunt driving and will appear in court at a later date to answer to this charge. His licence was seized and his vehicle towed from the scene and impounded for 7 days.
