Stoney Creek man accused of nearly tripling 50 km/h speed limit

A 24-year-old man from Stoney Creek is facing a charge of stunt driving after police say they caught him driving 127 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

A 24-year-old man from Stoney Creek is facing a charge of stunt driving after police say they caught him driving 127 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

On Thursday at around 3 a.m., Hamilton Police were conducting traffic-related enforcement near the area of Grays Road and Britannia Avenue when officers spotted a speeding vehicle.

Police were able to pull the vehicle over and charge the driver with stunt driving.

The accused's license was taken and his vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
