Windsor city council report card: Rino Bortolin - Ward 3
CBC Windsor grades the politicians at mid-way point of their 2014-18 term
Grade: A
Bortolin may be new to council, but he quickly became one of the most vocal in the room, and on social media. Lashed out at plan to use synthetic ice at Charles Clark Square, saying it's "cheapening" Canadian way of life. The most frequent dissenter when votes are taken at council, he raised ire of mayor for opposing sports tourism position. Pushes an urban agenda consistent with his downtown ward, but also a champion for business interests.

Quote: "Differences of opinions and people voting differently I think is healthy. I think it creates a good, healthy debate, and I think what you see is a lot of things that go back and forth and end up coming back with a victory."
