Man charged with 2nd-degree murder 3 years after fatal shooting in Etobicoke

Toronto police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection with a triple shooting in Etobicoke three years ago that left two people dead.

Toronto police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection with a triple shooting in Etobicoke three years ago that left two people dead. 

The shooting happened in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard W. and Thirtieth Street the evening of Jan. 3, 2022. 

When police arrived, they found two men who had been shot and a woman nearby who was also injured.  

The two men —Chudier Reat, 20, and Minyali Wur, 24 — were pronounced dead in hospital, while the woman's injuries weren't life-threatening, police said at the time. 

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Mississauga on Wednesday, police said in a new release. 

He's been charged with two counts of second-degree murder as well as weapons offences. 

He was set to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre Wednesday morning.
