Needs Convenience robbed on Windsor and Chebucto

A 28-year-old man is facing robbery charges after the Needs convenience store on Windsor Street and Chebucto Road in Halifax was robbed Wednesday night.

Halifax police say no weapons were used

A 28-year-old man is facing robbery charges after the Needs Convenience store on Windsor Street and Chebucto Road in Halifax was robbed Wednesday night.

Police say the suspect walked in around 9:54 p.m., demanded cash and cigarettes and threatened to hurt the clerk. 

He was arrested soon after, about one block away.

Police say no weapons were used and the clerk wasn't hurt.

The store has been robbed at least five times since March.
