Needs attempted robbery, gas and dash net 1 arrest

No charges have been laid

Halifax Regional Police are investigating back to back incidents at a convenience store and gas station this morning.

Police say a man first tried to rob the Needs convenience store on Chebucto Road and Windsor Street at around 3:25 a.m.

They say the clerk refused to cooperate. According to police the suspect then stole gasoline about half an hour later from a gas station on Dutch Village Road.

Police say they found the suspect's vehicle a short time later and made the arrest.

A 39-year-old man is in custody. No charges have been laid.
