Police responded to a report of a theft from a cab driver in the Quidi Vidi Road area at 7:20 p.m.
The RNC said the female driver was robbed by a man as they arrived at his destination.
The passenger grabbed crash from the driver and ran away on foot.
The police said they know who the 33-year-old man is, and have issued a warrant for his arrest.
When found, he'll face charges of fail to pay for transportation, theft under $5,000 and several breaches of court orders.
There were no injuries, and police haven't said how much money the suspect got away with.
