Passenger arrested for assaulting 3 cab drivers in St. John's

Police were called to assist a cab driver in the centre of St. John's on Saturday night. 

The cab driver had contacted his dispatcher to request help dealing with a passenger shortly before 1:00 a.m. 

When police arrived, the victim — along with two other taxi drivers — had the passenger pinned to the ground. 

A 32-year-old man was arrested and held for court to be charged with three counts of assault. The passenger is being charged with assaulting the taxi driver, as well as the other two drivers who came to his aid.
