Taxi driver assaulted on Southside Road
Police in St. John's responded to an incident early Thursday morning where a taxi driver was being assaulted, but not by a passenger.
Police in St. John's responded to an incident involving an assault on a taxi driver early Thursday morning.
The RNC said they got the call just after 3 a.m., of an assault taking place on Southside Road.
Once at the scene, they realized the victim was a taxi driver.

According to police, he was assaulted by an unidentified suspect who then fled the area.
The RNC say the suspect was not an occupant of the taxi.
The driver was treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries, but police have not said what they were.
