31-year-old man stabbed to death in Thompson

Police in northern Manitoba's largest community are investigating a second homicide in as many weeks. Mounties were called to reports of a stabbing in Thompson's Eastwood area around 1 p.m. Monday, a police news release said Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man was stabbed to death in Thompson on Monday, the small northern Manitoba city's second homicide in as many weeks.

Mounties were called to reports of a stabbing in the Eastwood area around 1 p.m., a police news release said Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital but later died.

Thompson Mounties and RCMP major crimes and forensic units are investigating.

Last week, Mounties found a 28-year-old man dead outside a home in Thompson. They are investigating his death as a homicide.
