Man charged with attempted murder after shooting in Thompson

A 24-year-old man is charged with numerous offences including attempted murder after another man was shot in northern Manitoba.

A 24-year-old man is charged with numerous offences including attempted murder after another man was shot in northern Manitoba.

RCMP were called just after 4 a.m. Saturday to an apartment complex on Ashberry Place in the city of Thompson, according to a Monday news release.

They found a 25-year-old man in serious condition. He was rushed to hospital and later upgraded to stable.

The investigation led to the arrest on Sunday of the 24-year-old, who is also charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.
