Toronto police say they've located a woman with dementia who had been missing for days and wasn't dressed for winter weather.

On Tuesday morning, police posted on X that a woman identified only as Rose, 61, had been located after having last been seen on Sunday, around 12:40 a.m., in the area of Dixon Road and Martin Grove. Police did not provide more detail about her condition, or how she was found.

Police had been asking the public for help finding Rose, telling reporters Monday that they were "very concerned" for her safety.

"The nights are very cold, and when Rose was last seen she was not dressed appropriately for the weather," Staff Sgt. Gavin Jansz said Monday.

He said Rose didn't have any identification, cell phone or money on her at the time, and that she may have been disoriented or unfamiliar with her surroundings.
