Quebec provincial police are investigating a homicide after finding one person dead at a home in Saint-Anicet, Que., in the Montérégie region Saturday morning.
Police were called to the residence around 9 a.m., said Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Camille Savoie.
At the scene, they found an unconscious person who was declared dead. The victim has been identified as Marcel Rouleau who was in his 70s.
Manuel Rouleau, 55, was also at the scene and arrested on Saturday. He's since been charged with second-degree murder.
When asked if the victim and the suspect were related, the SQ declined to comment.
According to the charge sheet, the murder took place some time between Jan. 23 and Jan. 25.
