Snowmobiler, 70, found dead in Val-Paradis, Que.

Quebec provincial police are investigating the death of a man who was found on a snowmobile on Sunday in Val-Paradis, Que.

Driver may have lost control of his vehicle, police say

Quebec provincial police are investigating the death of a man who was found on a snowmobile on Sunday in Val-Paradis, Que. — about 730 kilometres northwest of Montreal.

Emergency services were called on Sunday around 3:30 a.m. about an incident near the 8th and 9th rangs, according to Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Frédéric Deshaies. 

When responders arrived, they found an unresponsive 70-year-old man on a snowmobile, Deshaies said.  

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the man was from the area. 

Preliminary information suggests that the driver lost control of his vehicle.
