A resident of the neighbourhood, who lives in a home across the street from where a dead man was found, said he was not surprised over the incident.

An active homicide investigation, rising numbers of car thefts, a brazen robbery, a brutal daytime beating.

It was a Saskatchewan news week filled with several disturbing police blotters, all reflecting unrest in people's lives.

Police said they found the man dead at a home on the 1500 block of Robinson St. in the North Central area.

A resident of the neighbourhood, who lives in a home across the street from where the dead man was found, said he was not surprised over the incident.

"It's happened so many times around here you kind of get used to it," the man said. "You can't let it get to you ... you would go nuts and I refuse to feel that way."

On Wednesday, a 15-year-old boy was sent to hospital after a brutal daytime beating while walking home from Bedford Road Collegiate, in Saskatoon.

The same day, Regina police told CBC News that they are frustrated by the rising number of car thefts. This following a recent, early morning rampage in city. Two teen girls, driving a stolen truck, left a path of destruction down a residential street smashing at least a dozen cars on their way.

Also this week, CBC's The Morning Edition spoke with a prominent local musician about the brain injury he suffered after being attacked in downtown Regina

On Friday, RCMP released details about an elderly couple who were recently tied up while masked thieves broke into their home and stole money.

The crime-filled week in Saskatchewan prompted us at CBC Saskatchewan and CBC Saskatoon to wonder, how is everyone feeling?
