Two Yorkton seniors were tied up and robbed in a home invasion Thursday night, according to RCMP.

The Mounties were called about 8:45 p.m. CST.

Police believe two masked males forced their way into the home on Sunset Drive North on the south side of the city and tied up the man and the woman.

The suspects, described as six feet tall or taller with athletic builds and wearing dark clothing, took cash and left on foot.

Officers say the man and woman suffered minor injuries. Their ages weren't disclosed but police described them as "elderly".

They were taken to hospital and have been released.

RCMP are asking anyone with more information to contact the Yorkton detachment at 306-786-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
