5-day-old subject of Amber Alert found safe: Sask. RCMP

Saskatchewan RCMP say a five-day-old that was the subject of an Amber Alert on Thursday has been found safe.

Police issued the alert late Thursday afternoon. An Amber Alert is the most urgent type of police alert issued in cases of suspected child abduction.

An update released shortly after the alert said the child had been found safe. Police say the person suspected of taking the child is in custody.

RCMP thanked the media and the public for their help.
