Winnipeg girl found after missing for a week, say police

A teenaged girl who went missing a week ago in Winnipeg has been located and is safe, police say.

A teenaged girl who went missing a week ago in Winnipeg has been located, police say. 

The 15-year-old-girl had last been seen Oct. 29 in the city's West Kildonan area, police said in a missing person's alert on Monday.

An updated alert was issued Wednesday, simply saying the girl was found and is safe.

No information was provided on when or where she was located.

A previous version of this story included the girl's name and photograph. Those have since been removed to protect her privacy now that she is no longer missing.
