P.E.I. Liberals hold on to big lead in CRA poll
Progressive Conservatives solidify second party position
The governing Liberal Party on P.E.I. retains the support of about half the electorate, according to a poll released by Corporate Research Associates Wednesday.

Support for the Liberals came in at 48 per cent, about the same as the electorate's satisfaction with the government, which was at 52 per cent.
While the Liberals remained well out in front, the Progressive Conservatives appeared to be solidifying their position as the province's second party.
In 2013 the NDP moved out ahead of the Tories, but then lost ground. In polling from May the two parties were close. The current poll, conducted Aug. 14 to Sept. 1, has the PCs picking up support, to 28 per cent, and the NDP losing it, dropping to 16 per cent.
The poll has an overall margin of error of 5.7 per cent.
The margin of error for decided voters is 7.1% based on a sample size of 188.
CRA spoke to 300 Islanders. The poll is considered accurate 19 times out of 20.
