Jeff Ellsworth, P.E.I. softball player, part of Pan Am team's success

Jeff Ellsworth of Mill River, P.E.I., is continuing his success with Team Canada's softball team at the Pan Am Games in Toronto.

The team has four wins and no losses. It defeated Dominican Republic 7 to 2 on Wednesday night.

Ellsworth has driven in several runs during the games.

One of the highlights for Ellsworth was when he hit a home run in a game against the United States softball team.

"It was pretty good. The crowd was actually really large that night and they were into it, chanting, 'Canada go, Canada go.' It was a pretty special feeling," said Ellsworth.

The last game in round robin play for softball is Thursday night with Team Canada taking on Venezuela.
