Zach Sill now facing disciplinary hearing for possible boarding
Little is known about the condition of Boston Bruins defenceman and Cornwall native Adam McQuaid after a hit from Washington Capitals' veteran Zach Sill during the second period of Tuesday night's game.
At a disciplinary hearing Wednesday with the NHL Department of Player Safety, Sill was given a two-game suspension for boarding.
Also Wednesday the team tweeted a short statement quoting Bruins head coach Claude Julien.
There's no further update on Adam McQuaid (upper body) at this time. Julien does not know if he will be traveling on the upcoming road trip

McQuaid was skating after a loose puck in the Boston zone when he took a hit from Sill about five minutes into the second period. McQuaid was facing the boards when Sill arrived and the hit drove McQuaid's forehead into the glass.
McQuaid stayed down for several minutes before he was helped from the ice and to the locker room.
