Police are investigating the city's 11th shooting in November after a man was shot in the city's west end Tuesday night.

At around 9 p.m., Ottawa police officers responded to reports of gunfire near Greenbank and Baseline roads.

The man who was hit was able to drive himself to hospital, where he was released with only minor injuries, police said.

Police said they seized the man's car, which had been struck by several bullets, at the hospital.

The exact location of the shooting, Ottawa's 42nd of 2015, is not known. Officers with the force's guns and gangs unit are investigating.

Police also announced early Wednesday morning they had arrested two men in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month — the Nov. 14 death of Dady Jean in the city's Vanier neighbourhood.
