Yellowknife RCMP lay charges in convenience store robberies

Yellowknife RCMP say charges are pending in two separate robberies of convenience stores in the city last month.

Police have arrested an individual in connection to each of two separate convenience store robberies in Yellowknife last month.

Yellowknife RCMP say charges are pending in two separate robberies of convenience stores in the city last month.

A man is facing four charges including robbery and assault with a weapon in connection with the robbery of the Shell gas station convenience store on Range Lake Road April 22.

Police had been seeking two suspects in that robbery.

Police also say a youth is facing charges of robbery and wearing a disguise with the intent to commit an offence in connection with the robbery of the Winks convenience store on Forrest Drive on April 26.

RCMP say both individuals remain in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
