We're very blessed that we're here today- Alana Langdon

Langdon's husband Sheldon works offshore and wasn't able to get home for the weekend due to weather.

A little pick me up

To cheer herself up, Langdon decided to buy a Lotto Max ticket.

The next morning she received an email from Atlantic Lottery, saying she was a big winner.

With all the excitement, she forgot to check on her husbands flight home`, but he was more than happy to get the big news when he arrived home that same day.

"I think I said, 'You're never going to believe what happened to me this morning,' and I told him the amount and he asked me to repeat it back to him, we're pretty excited," said Langdon.

Financial security

Langdon added the $701,004 will be put to good use and the prize gives her family financial security.

"We're two working parents with kids and it's just a dream to be able to raise them without financial stress," said Langdon.

"We're very blessed that we're here today."
