A major exit on the Turcot Interchange is slated to close for nearly 18 months as part of ongoing construction work.

The 720 East ramp toward Montreal on Highway 15 North will close on April 17 until the end of 2017.

Drivers heading from Montreal's South Shore and Verdun will no longer be able to access that route to downtown.

Transport Quebec urges drivers to instead take the ramp Highway 20 West and to loop back around at the Angrignon exit onto Highway 20 East.

It has already been a tricky commute for drivers since one Highway 15 northbound lane is closed between St. Jacques Boulevard and Sherbrooke Street until mid-April.
