Man shot dead in northwest Edmonton identified

The man shot to death last Friday while sitting in a pickup truck has been identified as Phu Phan, 30.

The man shot to death last Friday while sitting in a pickup truck has been identified as 30-year-old Phu Phan. 

Autopsy results confirm Phan died of multiple gunshot wounds.

He was shot while sitting in a pickup truck parked outside a northwest Edmonton home just after 7:30 a.m.

He died on scene despite efforts by paramedics to revive him.

The truck was parked near 171st Avenue and 126th Street. 

Witnesses told police they saw a small blue SUV or minivan leaving the scene.

Phan is the Edmonton's 35th homicide of 2016.
