The Transportation Safety Board of Canada crews are investigating after a CN train derailed northwest of Edmonton Sunday.

Fifteen grain cars had derailed, but no one was injured in the incident, said Julie Lerout, a TSB communications officer.

Two TSB investigators were sent to the scene to investigate.

In July a train carrying crude oil derailed east of Whitecourt. Five cars derailed, two of which were carrying crude oil.

Documents obtained from the TSB show that Alberta had the most reports of runaway trains over the last year, and two of those incidents occurred in Edmonton.
