Arrest made in serious assault of Lethbridge woman
25-year-old female victim remains in hospital suffering critical injuries
Police in Lethbridge have arrested a suspect in connection with a violent assault that left a 25-year-old woman in hospital suffering critical injuries.
Few other details are being released.
Police said in a press release they "are not in a position to release any further information in order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation."
The woman was walking on Sixth Avenue South in Lethbridge sometime between 6 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 30 when she was attacked.
A passerby found the woman in the 2000 block of the avenue. She was rushed to hospital where she remains suffering critical injuries.
