A woman is in hospital in serious condition after being assaulted on a Lethbridge street early Friday morning, police said in a release Saturday.

A woman is in hospital in serious condition after being assaulted on a Lethbridge street early Friday morning, police said in a release Saturday.
The 25-year-old was walking along Sixth Avenue South between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. when she was attacked, police said.
Police and paramedics found the woman in the 2000 block of the avenue. She was sent to hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition.
It's not known if the attack was random or targeted.
