Surrey RCMP are investigating, after a stabbing sent a man to hospital early on Saturday morning.

It happened behind the Turf Hotel and Pub, in the 12400-block of King George Boulevard at about 2 a.m.

A fight broke out in the parking lot, and one man suffered a minor stab wound to his left shoulder, according to police.

Police said the suspect fled before they arrived, and a weapon was not found at the scene.

The victim was cooperating with police after the incident, but he was reportedly intoxicated, so investigators planned to let him sober up before speaking with him again.
