Surrey stabbing sends four to hospital, one arrested

Witnesses say the altercation broke out in an apartment suite on University Drive around 12:15 a.m.

A 36-year-old woman was taken into custody on scene.

Four people were taken to hospital with stab wounds after a fight broke out in a Surrey apartment building late Friday evening.

Surrey RCMP officers and dozens of first responders rushed to the scene at 10533 University Drive around midnight.

Surrey RCMP have arrested two suspects in connection with a series of break and enters and fraud over the past several months.

Paramedics treated four victims on scene, who were all taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening stab wounds.

One witness who lives nearby told CBC News she saw one man with what appeared to be defensive wounds on his arm loaded into an ambulance.

"A 36-year old female who is a resident of Surrey was taken into custody at the scene," said Staff Sgt. Murray Hedderson of Surrey RCMP, in a statement. "All of the victims and the suspect are known to each other."
