Surrey RCMP searching for suspect in alleged sexual assault and stabbing

Police say woman was attacked Tuesday morning

Surrey RCMP have released a composite sketch of the suspect who allegedly stabbed and sexually assaulted a woman on Tuesday in the area of Surrey's City Centre.

Surrey RCMP say they were called to 105 Avenue and 132 Street at about 2 a.m. PT on Feb. 2 after residents reported hearing a woman screaming.

RCMP say their investigation found the woman met a stranger and walked with him into a "secluded walkway," where he allegedly sexually assaulted and stabbed her. 

A Good Samaritan drove her to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, say RCMP. 

The suspect is described as:

  • A black male.
  • Slight build.
  • Approximately five feet and 11 inches tall.
  • About 30 years old. 
  • Speaks with a slight accent.
  • Was wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
