Ottawa police and paramedics say a man in his 20s suffered life-threatening injuries when the car he was driving collided with an OC Transpo bus south of Algonquin College late Friday morning.

A spokesperson said paramedics were called to the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Knoxdale Road around 11:40 a.m. A woman in her 70s who was a passenger on the bus was seriously injured, they said.

OC Transpo said the bus was in service at the time.

A social media video posted by Coun. Sean Devine shows an OC Transpo bus stopped in the intersection near a dark-coloured car with major damage to its front.
