Collision closes section of south Perimeter Highway near Oak Bluff, Man.

A section of Winnipeg's south Perimeter Highway was shut down Thursday night after a collision at the intersection with Highway 3 near Oak Bluff.

A section of Winnipeg's south Perimeter Highway was shut down Thursday night after a collision.

The collision happened at the intersection with Highway 3 near Oak Bluff, according to a news release the province sent at 9:20 p.m.

The northbound lanes of Highway 100, better known as the perimeter, were closed, the province said.

As of 10 p.m., Winnipeg police investigators were still at the intersection, where a small, white car could be seen wedged into the back of a semi-trailer.

The highway and intersection reopened around 2 a.m. No information has been provided on the cause of the crash or any injuries.
