Pedestrian struck by car in London's east end, fighting for life in hospital

A pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in the area of Oxford Street East and First Street in London, Ont. Wednesday afternoon.

A pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in London, Ont.'s east end Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews arrived in the area of Oxford Street East and First Street just after 2:30 p.m. ET. Paramedics transported an adult man to hospital, police said.

The driver and all witnesses stayed at the scene, police added. 

The London police's traffic management unit is in its early stages of the investigation.
