Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross Highway 401 in Kingston early Thursday morning.
OPP said in a news release that officers were called to the westbound 401 after the Highway 15 interchange around 1:30 a.m.
The pedestrian, who hasn't been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The westbound highway was closed for the investigation and fully reopened after 7 a.m.
