The&nbsp;pedestrian, a woman in her 20s, died in hospital.

Jason Gordon Cashin&nbsp;is&nbsp;charged with&nbsp;failing to stop after an accident causing death, according&nbsp;to a news release from the Cape Breton Regional Police.

He was scheduled to appear in Sydney provincial court on Wednesday.

Police said they&nbsp;have also seized a vehicle in relation to the case.

Halifax to consider options for former Bloomfield School site

Regional council voted unanimously in favour of a staff report that would look at "options and opportunities" for the site after a fire destroyed one of the buildings on Feb. 16. The report will also provide an update on the municipality's "buy-back rights" to the property.

6-year-old Halifax stabbing victim now in stable condition

A six-year-old boy who was stabbed Sunday on a downtown Halifax street is now in stable condition, police say.
