Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating after a woman in her 20s was struck by a vehicle that left the scene Thursday evening.

The collision happened on Keltic Drive&nbsp;near the intersection of O'Neil's Lane in the Balls Creek area.

The victim was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating. They ask anyone with information about the vehicle involved to call 902-563-5151 or Crime Stoppers.

Man dies after being shot in Halifax neighbourhood

High-risk sex offender granted leave privileges
