Your horoscope for the week ahead: Energy is flowing and finally, there is action

Mars returned to direct motion together with the New Moon in Scorpio this past weekend. It was a powerful moment. Mars is the starting pistol, and the New Moon brings new beginnings. Energy is flowing. Finally, there is action. The race is on. 

Have you been feeling rather nervous and pent-up? It's not surprising. Mercury's three oppositions to electric Uranus have predominated for several weeks. This phenomenon reaches a conclusion this week. Uranus is notorious for producing instability and anxiety. Yet plenty of good would have come out of this. You can count on Uranus to keep your mind stimulated. If you keep your nerve under the pressure, you'll come up with some good innovative ideas. 

Venus makes a sign change into mysterious Scorpio at the end of the week on Saturday just as the Sun enters Sagittarius. The Scorpio Venus will delve deep into the mysterious world of buried emotions. The Sagittarius Sun brings a jolly time of ringing bells and bright colours as we enter the festive season. 

I'm keeping an eye on Jupiter and Saturn for you as they head for their momentous conjunction in Aquarius on the Winter Solstice of December 21. They conjunct every 20 years. For the past two-hundred-years they have met in Earth signs — Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo. Materialism, wealth and corporations have predominated.  

December 21 will mark the start of a new two-hundred-year cycle of meetings in air signs —Aquarius, Gemini and Libra. Thought, ideas, philosophy and humanitarianism look set to predominate. There will be other characteristics too. Only time will tell.

Aries

Clarity is beginning to return to your world. Soon, you won't feel so baffled and boggled by a confusing situation. You'll understand it as well as you have understood anything. What you now know, you know fully. You'll also appreciate why you had to get lost before finding your way. It will soon prove to be of immense value. You will find a way to escape the tedium of a certain predicament. This will enable you to shrewdly negotiate for something better. You are not a puppet on a string. The Sun entering Sagittarius insists that quite the opposite is true. You are the puppeteer tugging on the strings. 

Taurus

It often happens that we do not fully understand the reality of what we are living. The explanation we settled for makes sense. It sounds convincing as long as we didn't question it too closely. Months and years later, we see what was really going on. We learn by trial and error. The Sun moving into bright Sagittarius will be an enlightening change that will liberate you from an unwanted set of circumstances. You'll see things that were hidden in a cloud of obfuscation. You'll have a better sense of control over the direction your life is taking you.

Gemini

You might well ask why some people have to be so awkward or a particular situation be so complicated. There is not much you can do about this other than to alter your own attitude. The Universe works in very strange ways. Your problem now is shifting your trajectory in such a way that you will find yourself at the right place at the right time to facilitate an auspicious and supremely lucky encounter. The Sun moving into Sagittarius will activate the power of serendipity. Gestures of kindness and conciliation may not be immediately met with a warm response, but they will have a very real impact over time. And you'll see how fortunate you are. 

Cancer

You are more fortunate than you know. We all pay more attention to our problems and the challenges. Now is the time to focus on finding solutions. They, after all, require us to take some form of action. With the Sun moving into Sagittarius you are about to catch something you have long been chasing. What you are going through is, believe it or not, leading you to success. And it'll come right where you need it most. If you need more of something in your life now, stop worrying about the possibility of getting less of it. What you need will come to you quite naturally. 

Leo

You have more choice and therefore, more reason to blame yourself if things go wrong. Sometimes, when our lives are dictated by forces beyond our control, we can feel more comforted than imposed upon.
