How Marc Maron squeezes honest conversations out of people

Have you ever met someone who can get just about anyone to open up? You know: that disarming person who can ask a deeply personal question and actually get an honest answer.  

Podcaster and former radio host Marc Maron is definitely one of those people. He joins Shad on stage to discuss the roots of his wildly popular podcast, WTF with Marc Maron, and how he's managed to have frank, illuminating conversations with everyone from Mel Brooks to Mick Jagger. 

"When you talk to people, especially people who live public lives, they have a public narrative. Getting around that can be kind of tricky," he tells Shad. "For me, an interview is not about questions asked, it's about if I can get five minutes of something that feels like authenticity."
