Reann Gasper reflects on being the first Black female MLA elected in B.C. since the 80s
The B.C. provincial election in October of 2024 ushered in change to Victoria — for the first time, B.C. elected a majority-female legislature and Reann Gasper, from the Abbotsford-Mission riding, became the first Black woman elected as a B.C. MLA since the 1980s.
