During the first two weeks of September each year, downtown Toronto feels electric as international stars, filmmakers, industry bigwigs and devoted movie fans from around the globe descend on the city for the Toronto International Film Festival.

You might catch a heavyweight producer striking a distribution deal in a neighbourhood coffee shop or overhear some visiting reporters raving about a movie destined for awards season glory.

There's always incredible buzz from star-sightings at favourite hangouts, as well as the general celebrity chaos when A-listers pose with fans at red carpet premieres.
