The Mindy Project has been saved (unless you're in Canada)

Just one week after Fox cancelled The Mindy Project, star and creator Mindy Kaling tweeted that the show will live on as an internet-only Hulu production.

Hulu production means Canadian fans are still out of luck

Just one week after Fox cancelled The Mindy Project, star and creator Mindy Kaling tweeted that the show will live on as an internet-only Hulu production.

Kaling, 35, tweeted a photo of the rom-com sitcom's cast on Friday that read, "Get ready to see these beauties real soon. #TheMindyProject @Hulu."

The popular U.S. video portal offers current TV on demand. What it doesn't offer is service north of the border.

That means Canadian fans are still out of luck.

Fans in 'dire' need

Fans of The Mindy Project took to social media in droves last week to express their disappointment over the cancellation.

Many are desperate to see how things will turn out for Kaling's character, Dr. Mindy Lahiri, who was pregnant at the conclusion of the show's third season.
