Stars set to take stage for MTV Movie Awards
RobinWilliams, Bruce Willis and Cameron Diaz are but a few of the celebrities who will appear on this year's MTV Movie Awards.
Hosted by U.S. comedian Sarah Silverman, the 16th annual awards show will air live on Sunday night.
Little Miss Sunshine, 300 and Borat are nominated in the best movie category.
Those competing for the golden popcorn statue in the best performance category include Johnny Depp for Pirates of the Caribbean, Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson for Dreamgirls and Will Smith for The Pursuit of Happyness.
Smith's nine-year-old son, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, was nominated for best breakthrough performance in the same film. He will compete against Justin Timberlake for his role in Alpha Dog and Abigail Breslin for her Oscar-nominated performance in Little Miss Sunshine.
Jack Nicholson is nominated in the Best Villain category for the film The Departed and will go head to head with Meryl Streep for her Oscar-nominated performance in The Devil Wears Prada.
Set to perform at the star-studded event — and for the first time on American soil — is British songstress Amy Winehouse.
R&B singer Rihanna will also rock the stage with her new single Umbrella, which features a duet with hip-hop legend Jay-Z.
Joining Williams, Willis and Diaz on the stage to present the statues for the event will be a laundry list of celebrities, including actress and singer Mandy Moore and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.
Conspicuously absent from the event will be actress Lindsay Lohan.
The U.S. starlet was scheduled to present an award, butshe checked into a rehabilitation centre last week after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Her publicist confirmed on Friday she will be not be attending the show.
Investigators confirmed Lohan, 20, was arrested for investigation of misdemeanour driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible struck a curb on Sunset Boulevard.
Theawards were chosen by fans who voted online and via text message.
The 2007 MTV Movie Awards are slated to air live June 3 from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
