Lady Gaga 'furious' over another postponed show
More than two dozen trucks carrying the sets and equipment for the singer's Monster's Ball tour "were detained by the French government going on over 26 hours," the singer posted via her Twitter account.
"I am furious and devastated. It's unfair to my fans and to me," she continued, adding that two members of her crew were apparently arrested for continuing to drive towards Paris despite extreme weather conditions.
French authorities have banned large trucks from driving through the Île-de-France region — including Paris — because of the snowy, icy weather affecting Europe.
Officials at Bercy Stadium in Paris stated that Sunday night's concert was postponed because the trucks were unable to reach the venue in time.
The singer and stadium officials have vowed that Monday's show will proceed as planned. Sunday's cancelled gig will be replaced with a concert on Tuesday.
"I promise to give [you] the night of [your] lives," tweeted the singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta.
The Sunday and Monday concerts were rescheduled dates to make up for two October performances that were postponed because of countrywide strikes and protests against the government's plan to raise the retirement age.
