Lady Gaga moves Paris concerts due to strikes
Protests in France pose 'logistical difficulties'
Strikes in France caused Lady Gaga to postpone concerts there until December.
A statement posted on her website said the Paris concerts for Oct. 22 and 23 had to be moved to Dec. 19 and 20 because of "logistical difficulties."
"Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy for this weekend's shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed," said the statement.
Fans must exchange tickets or ask for refunds by Nov. 14.
France has almost come to a standstill during protests all over the country by residents upset with plans to boost the retirement age to 62 from 60.
Demonstrators have also blocked the distribution of gas for more than a week now. About a quarter of the country's gas stations are closed.
So far, Lady Gaga is the only big act to announce changes related to the strikes.
Booking agents have had to find alternative solutions for other artists, such as using personal cars on tour for smaller acts.
