Actress Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she's writing a screenplay with comedian Amy Schumer in which the pair will star.

"We crack up," reading material sent to one another — so far about 100 pages' worth -— Lawrence told a New York Times reporter Wednesday.

"Amy and I were creatively made for each other," she said of her friend and now-writing partner. "It just flowed out of us."

Lawrence said she only met Schumer a couple of months ago after she sent an e-mail praising her box office hit Trainwreck. Since then, the two have been busy developing the script.

"We play sisters. We're almost done writing," Lawrence said.

According to the reporter, the actress "casually" broke the news while discussing her final turn as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, which hits theatres in November.

Lawrence sent a text to Schumer during the interview informing her that she "just spilled the beans. Is that OK?"

She said Amy wrote back, "That you're gay? Totally! It's exciting!"
