The Oscar-winning actress was supposed to be promoting her upcoming movie, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, but instead, Lawrence and Letterman launched into a rowdy tangent about bowling, retirement and Christmas carols—a conversation that inspired the 24-year-old to belt out an especially guttural version of A Holly Jolly Christmas.

"I have a voice like a tone deaf Amy Winehouse," Lawrence joked.
The interview became so disorganized that, at one point, both Lawrence and Letterman turned to the show's producers for direction. When that didn't help, the pair waved goodbye to the audience and walked out.

After weeks of silence, Lawrence finally confronted the incident in Vanity Fair in early October.
"I was just so afraid. I didn’t know how this would affect my career," said Lawrence, who also called for changes to the legal system to stop hackers from violating other women online.
