Calvin Harris takes to Twitter against Taylor Swift
Hit DJ and producer blasts back on social media over Swift songwriting revelation
Hit DJ and producer Calvin Harris is using social media to address the assertion that his famous ex-girlfriend — pop singer Taylor Swift — was the brains behind his current smash track This is What You Came For.
Reports emerged this week that it was Swift who came up with the tune, which has been an international hit for the Scottish hitmaker and Rihanna, who sings vocals on the track.
A rep for Swift then confirmed that she was the song's writer — listed under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg — to People magazine.
"She sings on a little bit of it too," the electronic and dance DJ, whose real name is Adam Wiles, posted as he addressed the revelation via Twitter on Wednesday.
"Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual," he continued, noting, "I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym."

American singer-songwriter Swift has captured attention worldwide of late for her personal life rather than her music.
After ending her incredibly successful 1989 world tour, her time off has been dominated by her recent break up with Harris in late spring and subsequent, headline-grabbing, apparently whirlwind romance with British actor Tom Hiddleston.
In his social media rant, Harris lashed out at a perceived attempt to paint him in a negative light, even referencing Swift's alleged rivalry with pop star peer Katy Perry.
Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though 🤔

I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do

I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it

Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you've earned a great one
